They do not, but they don't usually have a long wait time for to go orders
Great food, fun atmosphere. The wait was pretty long (we ended up splitting our group in 2 to avoid waiting too long). The pie we had for dessert was so good we tried to come back the next night to buy a whole pie... I can't recall the flavour but it was something that seemed arranged and turned out to be amazing.
Super friendly service. The Blue Cheese Balls are out of this world. Had some rubbed wings. Huge and perfectly cooked. Loved the Doc Ponds burger. Almost had a milk shake but it might have done me in. So good
Doc Ponds was a really enjoyable experience. The beer selection is fantastic, and the custom, house cocktails are definitely worth trying. The menu is not big, and that shows in how much care is taken with each item. My wife and I ordered a bit of everything, and enjoyed all of it. The garlic oil wings, we're a unique take on Asian inspired wings that really exceled. The burger was superb, and the sides we're all good too. I would expect nothing less from the owners, and their other restaurants, but this place is definitely worth a stop of you're in Stowe, or even a drive over if you aren't.
Service was great! Everything we had was delicious but the Mac and cheese was by far the best. Drink selection was extensive, especially the beer list. I would highly recommend.
Great meal at Doc Ponds. Had a variety of things. Burger was great. Comfortable seating by the fireplace.
Get the mushrooms. Solid food and draft beer selection. Hill farmstead and VT finest always around.
Unassuming pub reveals excellent food and an extensive selection of local beers. We expected a lot going in and were still happily surprised. Can't miss.
Doc Ponds was great! We came here from a recommendation from Brent at the Alchemist. I was looking for a place with a good beer list. I never expected such an extensive menu! And a very attentive and friendly staff! I'm coming back for sure.
This place has a cult following for a reason. Extensive beer selection & excellent food. Worth a trip here from anywhere.
The food and service were great. Pretty busy spot on a weekend, but worth the wait. My wife loved the house made lemoncello, and I really liked the beer selection. I would definitely come back.
Got a recommendation to try Doc Pond after a long days hiking.Banging burger and fries, Very good! Also had two Vermont IPAs on tap that were strong and delicious. Staff was friendly and I'd absolutely recommend the place!
Cannot recommend highly enough. Truly exceptional food, outstanding beer menu with daily fresh selections, great staff, cool vibe, awesome music(1/6/19 brunch), and reasonable prices. Thank you to all the hard working people who made our brunch truly exceptional. Must try the cheddar fritters, calamari, bluefish dip, docs burger, french fries, pretty much everything since it's all fantastic! Grab a fork and dig in!
Amazing food at an amazing price (especially in Stowe)! Solid local draft list with another 30+ bottled beer options. Food was a bit slow to come out of the kitchen but that is my only gripe. Highly recommended!
Went here with a big group of buddies and ordered an obscene amount of food...it all came out hot and at the same time.... And it was GREAT..... , the server was awesome (wish I got his name) and put up with us being a little crazy and had fun, definitely buy the kitchen staff "a round" - won't tell you what they do but it's an experience and totally worth the $10.....i would definitely go here again in a heartbeat
Amazing food. Friendly and attentive servers. Great patio for a sunny spring day. Macaroni and cheese with chorizo was a standout. Salads were generous and very fresh. Strong beer list. A treasure!
A better than good bar and restaurant. The beer list is extensive, and the food is better than average for the area. My wife and I both fell in love with the calimari, which is not deep fried but sauteed fresh. Winners were also the flank steak in house chimichuri sauce, and the pork tacos.
Great beer selection and pretty good food. Kind of expensive for the portion sizes but probably on par for the area. Highly recommend the Brussels sprouts, they were crispy and salty and served with a delicious sauce. I would make reservations on a weekend night or expect a long wait.
If you find yourself in Stowe, stop by this little gem of a place. The food is good, the employees are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the ambience is awesome. The music here legit took me to church a couple times throughout the night! We had a burger and a chicken sandwich, both were made very well with great condiments. We stopped back the next night and had braised greens and chicken, and ice cream for dessert. I really appreciate this place for doing everything right. Thank you!
Doc Ponds is hands down the best restaurant in Stowe. First, let's talk about food. Their mac & cheese is MIND-BLOWING. It's made with real VT cheddar, and the cheese coats all of the pasta shells like a luscious velvet blanket. (Hungry yet?) The crispy breadcrumbs on top add the crispy texture you need make that mouthful even more amazing. Did I mention it is only...$6 a bowl!? (At least as of March 2019.) Every dish that came out was excellent from the tamari broccoli to the taco salad to the chips and dip. You honestly can't go wrong with anything. The servers and hosts are all wonderfully helpful with the food and drink menus and they have a great sense of humor. Even if there's a wait, the food and the service make it a Stowe MUST.
If you don't get the mussels, you're wrong. Some of the biggest, most tender, sauciest sea creatures I've ever put in my mouth. Expertly designed dining areas complement a house-plant fever vibe.
Get the burger, chicken sandwhich, corn fritters, and calamari. All are top tier
Really sweet sweet place to go with family or young adults. Great selection of local craft beers and dishes. Farm to table seems to be a priority here and you can really taste that quality. The friendly staff also contribute to an environment which is perfect for a super casual date.
Very cool atmosphere, with unique seating options around a long bar. A few fireplaces add to the atmosphere. Always busy. Dual turntable set up with a nice record collection provides good music, although the songs are mainly drowned out by the noise. They have a great beer list as do most places in the area. Their menu is creative and done well, but nothing incredible. Solid place that is kid friendly. They don't have a great kids menu, bit our kids have been able to find something to eat.
Had a Doc burger, fries, mac n cheese, and a Focal Banger from the Alchemist. Overall great atmosphere, friendly people, friendly staff, and enjoyable time overall. The food was pretty good, good portions and tasty seasoning. The burger itself was a little small, but I was plenty full at the end of the meal.
Food is great and they have an eclectic menu. Funky bar scene and lively. Great place to eat and hang with friends!
After a few tries at finding a dog-friendly restaurant, my friends and I stumbled into this nifty find. The outside seating is so cozy and quaint, and we loved being able to sit outside with our dog. The serverswere super friendly and chatted with us about our dog too. We came in without any expectations for the food, but I was really impressed. The mussels were wonderfully seasoned and had a nice savory garlic taste. I also really loved the bread it came with as it was perfectly crisp and a great complement to the mussels (also great using the mussel juice as a dip!).I tried the chips on the side as well and they're seriously an explosion of flavor. I loved them at first but have to admit the seasoning was a little strong and we couldn't quite finish the chips. Overall I loved the food and environment here and would highly recommend!
Came here because it was highly rated and suggested by many. Aside from a great beer list, I am not sure what the draw is. I had the pork bowl, which to my taste wasnt even worth the calories, the fried chicken sandwich was fine, but nothing amazing, the cheese fritters were the best thing I had, but mostly be cause of the onion chutney. Otherwise they didn't amaze me. Now if they would jam some pulled pork into those cheese fritters, that might be interesting. But anyhow, not putting this place down, but I just dont get the hype. One bonus is the outside is dog friendly, and also the servers were awesome.
My son, 22 yo and I, 61 yo stopped by yesterday. We sat, looked around, looked at the menu and the interior. We both agreed that it wasnt what we wanted and politely left. Poor menu choice, not a nice ski town ambience.
Great environment and wait staff (Ethan deserves a raise!) Extensive crafts list and small but amazing food menu! Four meals and all of them superb visually and in taste! Definitely worth the stop if in Stowe!!
We got the chicken wing dry rub and the Doc caesar from the “small” section but the portions are quite large. The wing was kind of coated with sugar and tasted quite uniquely nice to us. Caesar was fresh. A great place for drink and gathering too.
The food was so good! And this place was by far the coziest, chillest hangout we found while we were in Stowe. Loved it and wished we had had time to go back! Highly recommend. Great local spot.
The calamari was a great appetizer, and burger was amazing. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area
Food was really good. Some of the best food we ate in Vermont.
This place has amazing food! I especially recommend the calamari. It is almost always packed, so I recommend getting there early. Started as a beerhaus so you know its roots are good. The french fries are amazing!
Very nice place! One of a off road eating place!Food is Good! Customer friendly!
Everything we had was fantastic. Awesome drinks, chicken wings, fried cheese balls, fried chicken sandwich, and cheeseburger. The place was packed but we put our name in on Yelp and got in pretty quickly. Oh, the brownie sundae was awesome, too!!
killer draft list and amazing food (highly recommend the fried chicken sandwich)!
Place is nice, not that expensive and food is definitely tasty. The waiter was able to get us four bears that each liked so that was nice since they have a good selection. The place isn't big so it's probably crowded on peak hours.
Fantastic burgers. Relaxing ambience.
Efficient bartenders. Great food. Good music. Crowded on weekends. Would recommend
I have to be honest, this is the first review I have ever written. That should say something about Doc Ponds and their staff. This place it the best! Our Server, Sydney was stellar, super cool chick with a great attitude. My wife and I were visiting town on a little getaway from Maine. We asked for some recommendations and Syndey knocked it out of the park. We had the Broccoli, the little cheese ball things (whatever they're called, they're great!), the calamari and more. We had 5 apps and 3 entrees, (burger was out of this world) AND dessert. We ate for hours, we had such a great time we went back last night (2 nights in a row) Their beer selection is great, really cool to see them have a different $4 pint each night. Thanks for a wonderful meal, we will be talking about this experience for the foreseeable future.
Had delicious food and drinks at a large table by the fireplace - so nice! Family friendly and excellent service!
Ate here twice. Would come back here once a week if I could. Amazing pickles, tacos, drinks and to be honest, everything else on the menu.
Awesome burger after a nice hike down the road from there!
Fantastic place! Went twice in one trip to Stowe. Extensive beer menu, great food, wonderful staff. Lots of outdoor seating.
Nice environment good food. If they have a good vinyl record collection. You could use a better selection of beers.
Cool little venue, big enough to not feel cramped but small enough to stay cozy. Friendly staff and prompt service. Clean restaurant with a young, hip vibe. Nice vinyl collection on display too... Stop in, don't miss this little gem of Stowe!
Had an absolutely amazing evening at Doc Ponds while in Stowe. Great drinks and a huge selection. Would definitely come back again.
We were in the area for the White Church and we tried this place. There was a bit of wait since it was a very turisty and busy weekend. The food was super yummy and the service was great. We had to take the pumpkin pie to go since we were satiated already. For extra bread they charged us $2 but it was well worth it since they made fresh baked butter garlic breed. We loved it.
Doc Ponds was a great experience from the peanuts to the beer selection and everything else! It was wonderful to find a restaurant offering more than foodservice frozen good deep fried. They have curated a creative menu of savory and sweet concoctions that you wouldn't normally find in a small Vermont town.
